In a play of shifting realities at la vuelta
Reality is not what it used to be. Virtual, augmented, fake - we have many alternatives to choose from and that's just the beginning, apparently. We think it's the purpose they serve that matters most and that's why we're so excited about our new partnership with ROUVY – the indoor cycling app that makes huge strides towards making indoor training as close as possible to an outdoor ride using filmed rather than rendered environment.
The latest addition to the range of options available on ROUVY is the possibility to choose bikes and kits for your avatar and that’s where we come in. ROUVY kindly invited us to supply a virtual bike for their fleet for this year's Vuelta a España of which they are an official virtual partner.
SPECTRE VUELTA EDITION
We reached into our archives for a beautiful scheme our creative director Tom Hnida designed in 2019 to pay homage to the final grand tour of the cycling season. He based it around Pablo – one of the earliest FESTKA patterns which in itself was a tribute to the Spanish master Pablo Picasso – and depicted it in red orange and yellow, the colours we associate with the country and the race.

As part of our deal with ROUVY, you are free to pick the bike up from the virtual bike shed and ride as much of this year’s Vuelta route as you want. We are certain it will be good fun even without the envious looks you can count on whenever you turn up for a race or a group ride on a FESTKA. The design scheme is gorgeous and we hope that you will fall in love with the new Spectre look and the Vuelta design scheme.

But that’s enough virtual! Let’s get back to the real world. We couldn't call ourselves bike manufacturers if we left it at that, right? Indeed! We are making the design available as a limited edition FESTKA Spectre Vuelta. Since we are in a virtual environment here we are presenting the bike as a render but you can rest assured that you will get the real thing.
You can buy a frameset or a complete bike. We have a range of standard sizes or you can opt for custom geometry. The edition is available for a limited time.
